Bring your gear for summer camp and we will pack it into the trailer. And then grab a bite to eat and enjoy a swim, great way to kick off the summer fun.

Overland Trails Council Merit Badge University

This event is July 27-29 at Grand Island, Nebraska.
You have the opportunity to complete up to three merit badges and there will be live entertainment Friday night.
After class session on Saturday, Scouts and leaders (in Class A’s) will have the opportunity to enjoy local activities including Saturday Night Races at Mid-Nebraska Speedway and the Moon Light Swim at Island Oasis Water Park.

Cost is $60 for scouts.  Sign up early to get the merit badges you want. Registration Deadline is June 28th.

 Please note, we will NOT meet next week Thursday, April 5th as this is a holy day for many of the scouts in the troop as we prepare for Easter.
Knowing that a scout is  reverent, we will take the night off and meet next week.
If anyone has questions about anything let me know, spring camporee is just around the corner. I am sure the SPL will be in touch, sharing valuable information as we prepare to go to Little Sioux Scout Ranch for Spring Camporee.
Scouts you have been doing a great job working on merit badges, don't forget to work on them as your merit badge counselor has discussed with you.
A few merit badges you have been focused on Citizenship in the Community, Nation, Communication, Wilderness Survival, Emergency Prep and Personal Fitness.
Remember you control your advancement.

War Eagle Merit Badge Clinics

All Boy Scouts are invited to War Eagle Merit Badge Clinics on March 17, April 14, or May 19. Each clinic runs from 9 am to noon at the LDS Church, 1201 W. Clifton Ave, Sioux City, IA. There is no cost, but pre-registration is required in order to make proper preparation and convey merit badge specific information. Scouts may earn at least one merit badge per clinic. Aviation Merit Badge Overnight

All Boy Scouts, leaders and parents interview pilots, take a ride on a flight simulator and earn the Aviation Merit Badge. Choose to attend overnights March 9-10, April 13-14, November 9-10 or December 7-8 at the Strategic Air & Space Museum just off I-80 near Ashland, NE. Overnight programs start at 7 pm; Museum doors open at 6:30 pm for check-in. All activities conclude at 8 am on Saturday morning. Cost is $32 per Scout and $15 per adult. Questions? Dress Warm this weekend, remember what was discussed in the meeting as you prepare for camping.
Layers, good mittens or gloves, ski bibs are a nice layer. If you want it warm in the morning put it in your sleeping bag tonight. Bring your flashlight and extra batteries it will get dark!
