Winter Camporee

A great weekend accomplished! Beautiful weather Saturday allowed for a great day of activities at the Bellevue Rod and Gun Club. First Aid was the theme this year so ask a scout about all of the cool activities they did and saw. The Jaw/Timberwolves placed 3rd in the Klondike race by time this year. Congrats.

Ethan Kahl discusses Totin chip with Flaming Arrows and Flying Cows

Flaming Arrows and Flying cows waiting for the race.

Jaws and Timberwolves off to the races.
Then came the snow, as the Flying Cow make dinner, (sloppy joes)

Troop Update

The SPL (Nathan Hall) for the Winter Camporee started the meeting with a review on how to be prepared for weekend.
The Patrols completed their Duty Rosters. Finally they completed the Kim's game for this weekend which should prove to be quite fun.

Scout Meeting

Wow another busy night.
The Troop started the snow sports merit badge while the Flying Cows and the Flaming Arrows worked on improving their fitness.
I think I heard they might go snow skiing this month.

Patrol meetings started working on getting their menus ready for winter camporee, most were excited to know they will be cooking hot breakfast on Sunday morning. I think I even saw Mr. Roger's assisting one of the new patrols.
Jake Livergood was busy displaying the new art work for the Jaw's new patrol flag, from what I hear the patrol is excited about to see the real deal, maybe next week.
Next week the SPL plans to complete the Kim's game and I am sure he has more planned.

New Patrols Organized

SPL Robert Shindel was busy last night in our first meeting on several weeks.
New Patrols were organized, the Flying Cows are reloaded and the troop now has the Flaming Arrows Patrol.
The Patrol leader for the Flying Cows is Kevin Hansen and Patrol Leader of the Flaming Arrows is Ezekiel Wilbur.
In addition the scouts practiced setting up tents indoors in preparation of the Winter camporee.
Bud Windorski has joined the Timber wolves ( you should hear howling in the background)
The Jaws and Timberwolves Patrols met separately at the Shindel house to build their Klondike sled.
Lastly the Troop trailer is back with some modifications, I can't wait to see it in the daylight, because it looks brand new again!
