Troop Lock in

Troop lock in is going well. Scouts are learning new skills, learned how to make survival bracelets and woggles which was very cool. 2nd session of meritbadge class is going on now more fun yet to come today.

Merit Badges

Mrs. Talkington has offered to teach Personal Management and Family Life merit badges at her home 2:00-6:00pm Sunday, November 6. Please check your roster for her contact information and be sure to let her know you plan to attend (if you didn't already at the troop meeting Thursday).

Rescheduled Patrol Leaders Council Meeting

War Eagle Merit Badge Clinics
All Boy Scouts are invited to LDS Church, 1201 W. Clifton Avenue in Sioux City for War Eagle Merit Badge Clinics offered on the following dates - November 19, December 17, 2011 and February 18, 2012, March 17, April 14, May 19, 2012 All workshops are offered from 9 am to Noon. Strategic Air & Space Museum Overnights
All Boy Scouts, leaders and parents come take a tour of the SASM, 28210 West Park Hwy, Ashland, NE. Overnight programs start at 6:30 pm for check-in. Cost is $32 per Scout; $15 per adult and includes:

Aviation - Complete requirements on the following dates - November 11, 2011, December 2, 2011, February 24, 2012, March 9, April 13, November 9, December 7.
Space Exploration - Construct a rover, and complete the requirements for the Space Exploration Merit Badge on the following dates - January 13. 2012, March 30, 2012, November 30, 2012.

Engineering Merit Badge Day

Fall Camporee and New Tents

Troop, Great planning session and meeting tonight! I believe the meals have been planned don't forget to pay your Patrol Leader or Grubmaster $12.
If you are interested the SPL, Jake L., Burk G. (Quartermaster) and Mr. Rogers needs scouts to assist in preparing the new tents for the Fall Camporee. We will meet at Mr. Rogers house 2312 Robbie Ave, Bellevue, NE 68005 Saturday at 13:00 hours.

Freedom Park needs help to prepare for the imminent flooding

Troop, we will be meeting today at the Overflow parking lot at 1200 hours to go to Freedom Park in Omaha to assist with moving items before the Naval museum area becomes flooded.
Service hours will be award to Scouts that assist. Adults are also welcome to drive and help. Please wear summer uniform.

Summer Uniform

Scouts during the summer months when we don't meet at the school we wear our Troop T-shirts and scout pants (if you have them). We still tuck in our shirts and look sharp! Remember to have Troop Pride.
We will still need our uniform for Summer camp and when ever we travel to and from camp. No Neckerchiefs are worn to campouts.

May Campout Update

Hiking opportunity for all scouts, bring your backpack. If you haven't completed your five mile hike, we have a hike for you.
  The members of the troop that are going to Philmont will be camping and backpacking, I like to think of it as a shake down trip for the real thing. If you are 1st Class and above and want to join the Philmont trek shakedown please let me know ASAP as you will have to get different food for Saturday night campout.
1st Class and below we will have a great time working on Totin Chip and Fireman Chit as well as other activities to get you to First Class.

Wimp Camp

Wimp Camp will proceed as normal.
At this time there is no snow north of I-80.
Arrive at 5:00pm Depart at 5:30
We will meet at the Main Lot, NOT the overflow lot of Willow springs on 25th Street due to the snow in the overflow lot.
If you have a Troop Ice Chest (each Patrol Leader should have one) Please bring it, Mr. Hall needs a couple to store and transport food.
Expect 1-3 inches of snow, Be Prepared!

Winter Camporee

A great weekend accomplished! Beautiful weather Saturday allowed for a great day of activities at the Bellevue Rod and Gun Club. First Aid was the theme this year so ask a scout about all of the cool activities they did and saw. The Jaw/Timberwolves placed 3rd in the Klondike race by time this year. Congrats.
